Our Assessment

A comprehensive, doctor-led assessment that considers ADHD, Autism, and other neurodiverse conditions together.

Booking an ADHD assessment can feel overwhelming. However, if your child has ADHD, getting a diagnosis can be life-changing. The sooner it's identified, the sooner you can access effective support and treatment, and the closer you are to living a more balanced life, knowing you are doing the best you can to help your child and your family.

You do not have to navigate this process alone.

At ADHDX, we understand the challenges you may be facing. Our friendly admin team has extensive NHS and healthcare experience and is here to support you every step of the way, from booking your assessment to answering any questions you may have afterward.

Before the Assessment

We'll send you questionnaires to complete, along with one for your child's teacher. If available, school reports or GP medical records can also be helpful. A GP referral to ADHDX is beneficial, as it keeps your GP informed and allows seamless ongoing care through the NHS if necessary.

During the Assessment

You'll meet with an experienced doctor who specialises in neurodiversity and ADHD. They will explore your child's journey in-depth, review your questionnaires, and discuss your experiences before confirming a diagnosis.

After the Assessment

Following the assessment, we develop a 12-month personalised management plan around your child's strengths and challenges, with practical strategies for home and school. Parents and teachers review progress every two weeks, introducing one strategy at a time and adapting what does not work.

Clinician reviews are separate from this fortnightly feedback and cost £195 per appointment at 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months and 12 months. Where appropriate, we also discuss medication, including its benefits, safety and possible side effects.

Our doctors will provide you with a detailed report and action plan, and with your permission, we will share the report with your GP to make a referral to the NHS for ongoing care. We advise you to share the report with the school, as it would help them better understand the difficulties and may help them make changes to support your child.
